I’ve been thinking about building a TARDIS for a while and decided to actually do it over the christmas break. The plan is to use it to store beekeeping gear.

I found a sketchup 3D model online which I have used as my base design. To simplify the build, my design is based on two sheets of plywood for each side – this lets me route out window openings in the outer sheet instead of complicated joinery. I scaled the plans slightly to suit 1200x2400mm sheets of ply.

The main structure will be based around four 100x100m posts which I will try and accurately place in the ground. The entire TARDIS will be made out of treated wood for outdoor use.
